Flowers and Butterflies

Here are two more pictures I made for the Bazaar this weekend! With all boys, flowers and butterflies are not something I have at my house!

Signs

I know that I have not posted much on my blog but I have been so busy making all kinds of goodies for the Bazaar on December 4th. It will be here in no time!!

I made wall hanging and Brian told me that he thought they would sell better if it was done in a frame. He gave me an idea and I ran with it!

The "let is SNOW" is made on a floating from and the glass measures 7X16. It has MANY layers of paper and then some vinyl. I LOVE how it turned out and I have made three more "Floating frames" but I need to get some brown frames as I only purchased black ones.

I then decided I wanted to make some decorated frames to sell. I had seen this idea and loved it but I have no purpose for it in my house full of boys. So, I thought the Bazaar was the perfect opportunity to make one.

I liked the Bright girlie one so much I decided to make another with neutral colors. I LOVE how this turned out and I am working on a second one.

I LOVE the phrase "Life is Good" because I believe it is!! The phrase is attached on the outside of the glass by popdots to give it some dimension.

AWESOME!!

Ok, so if you all don't know my Cricut is MY FAVORITE scrapping tool! I use it on Almost every LO I make!

I saw a couple days ago that if you purchase and register a Cricut Gypsy by Nov 1st you will get 6 bonus cartridges. Since I have had mine for a year I didn't even bother to look at the info!

BUT I just found out that the 6 bonus carts will be given to EVERYONE who has purchased and registered a Gypsy. So, on November first you will find me updating my Gypsy so I can get the 4 carts I don't all ready own! YIPPEE!!!

HELLO THURSDAY!!!!

The third Thursday of every month happens to be one of my favorite days of the month! It is when Cricut releases their new cartridges!

I just got a peak at the 6 new carts being released this month. None of the names jumped at me. When I first saw Car Decals I didn't think much of it BUT when I took a look at this I decided that it has LOTS of possibilities!!

I really was not to interested in the Quarter Note cart...
I saw this beautiful font on this cart! This was just a little peak so I can't wait until I can look at the entire book.

Rose Gift Card Ornament

I have made about 30 of these Gift Card Ornaments but this is my FAVORITE so far!! Maybe I will keep this one... haha!
I watched Jennifer McGuire video on how to make the rose. Love her videos!

Christmas Ornament by Gage

I LOVE that my boys love to craft with me! It brings me joy to have them come in my room and help me! I don't always show them this joy, like when I am focused and they are trying to take over my project.

Gage and I watched a youtube video on a new technique yesterday so Gage immediately went to work in my room! He took a white round circle and stamped it with small dots and then clear embossed it. Then he used Distress Inks to color it in!

I think he did a great job!

ATG refills

I have had my ATG gun for about 4 years and I LOVE it! When I ordered it, I ordered a dozen refill rolls which lasted me three years!! I ordered another box about a year ago when I was working on Christmas calendars.

GUESS WHAT??? I just finished up the last roll today! I guess this means I am getting some really good use out of my scrapbook room that I got in January!

Christmas Ornament

Since I have finished my gift bags, I have moved on to Gift Card Holders. This patterned paper is some of my very favorite and I only had scraps left of it. But they are perfect for these ornaments. There is also a little pocked on the back of these for a gift card or cash.

Oh, and I LOVE having Copic markers. I didn't have ribbon that matched so I pulled out my Copic markers and MADE my own matching ribbon by coloring some white ribbon! The color is perfect!

Sorry...

I have not been posting the last week.
Brian returned home last Thursday.
Later that night I found out that my cousin had died in a car accident! The last week has really rocked my world!

But now I am back!
My sweet husband asked me if there was anything that needed to be put up on the walls today...um YA!! He put up something in the living room and dining room. Then I drug him upstairs to my scrapbook room. He put up my bucket rack for my Copic makers and my Ribbon Rod! I am so happy to have them up. It looks so good! Now if only I could keep my room clean!

I have made 40 ish Lollipop Covers... now I just need the Lollipops, they are turning out to be harder to find then I imagined!!
I am also making some Hershey's candy bar covers. I found directions for Kit Kat covers that are too cute!
I am also going to make some Hot Chocolate Pockets!
I think it is going to be a busy month for me!

My Pink Stamper Challenge

Robin posted a challenge last week to make something with a Winter Theme!

As you know I have been working on projects for the Christmas Bazaar in December so I wanted to make something for that! I have made several of these cute little gift bags and I have a goal of making 50, I am getting close.

So today as I was thinking of this challenge I was looking at these gorgeous nativity stamps and knew that my challenge was to use them.

Here is what I came up with. You can't see very well on the picture but they are glimmer misted and they have gorgeous! The brown one is my favorite has the glimmer on it is copper.
Thanks for looking! Sorry I couldn't crop it, my PSE is on strike and refusing to open at the moment!

Christmas Gift Bags

I have decided to make some goodies and try to sell them at our Church Christmas Bazaar.

Here are a few of the 25 gift bags I have made.
I made 16 of the penguin bags because I thought they were so cute! I used flock to make the scarves fuzzy. They are yellow, orange, pink, green blue and purple.

A Little of This... A Little of That

That is the description of what I have been up to the last month or so.

I have been practising and practising coloring with my Copics! I am finally feeling encouraged and LOVE coloring in the little kids stamps I have!

I have also been working on a Christmas present that I can't tell about.

I have also been working on a Pregnancy Album for my baby sis who just had a baby less then a week ago! I guess I better hurry up and get it done! Christina's favorite color is blue but she had a girl, so I am trying to incorporate lots of light blue into the album. I did a LO today with Blue, orange and white, it turned out very pretty.

The biggest news for me is that I decided to rent a booth at our Church's Bazaar in December! Brian has asked me for a while to try to sell my stuff but I have been very hesitant. When I heard about the Bazaar at our Church I decided to go for it. I have made little gift bags, sucker covers, candy bar covers, hot chocolate sleeves, and some gift card holders.

I think "A Little of This... A Little of That" perfectly describes what I have been up to!

Baby Card

I made this little girl baby card today! I am not sure who it is for but I like it! I lifted the idea but I can't remember where I lifted it from so I can't give credit where it is due. Sorry!

A Weekend Getaway...

Well, kind of! My husband took the boys on a camping trip which I means I have 72 hours to myself!! What do it?? A weekend getaway in my scrappy room!

I am working on a couple different albums right now and I made a goal of 12 double LO's this weekend! I am 48 hours in and I only have 5 done! I better get busy but I had to stop for some food!

Oldie but Goodie

Sometimes I get so caught up with "NEW" items that I forget about the stuff that has been in my stash for a while! This is especially true when it comes to Cricut Cartridges!

I decided to play with an old Cartridge today. I cut this little boat with the New Arrival cartridge. When I first saw this cart I knew I had to have it! However, I have not finished the boys "Baby Albums" yet so the cart has not been used too much!

How about you?? Do you use up your stash?? Or do you let it collect some dust??

Nautical Card

This card was TOTALLY inspired by Odette!! She does amazing work and I love everything she makes!

Here is my version of her card!

I Scrapped!!!!

In a previous post I vowed to Scrapbook before I made any more cards! I will confess I didn't keep my promise! I am such a perfectionist when I scrap so it takes me FOREVER to actually finish a LO. I can make usually make a card in 20 minutes and I have a sense of accomplishment! So, I am going to compromise... for every ____ cards I make, I need to complete one LO. Yes, that is a blank you see because I have not decided on the number just yet, but I am thinking 10.

I am doing a "Day in the Life" album. I scrap whatever happens on the 10th of every month! I am trying to get caught up on this years album. All cuts were from the Cricut machine.

June 20th the boys had an "End of Soccer Season" party at the pool! This is certainly their favorite destination during the summer.

The Patterned Paper is a sheet that I have had for years! I really didn't believe I would ever actually use it but I think it worked for this LO!

This is my May LO. We went for a walk in the park and then to a "Intense Ministries" performance at church! It was fantastic. The one girl on the team was a woman that we knew in Okinawa Japan! Who would have thought! It was fun catching up on life after 10 years.

Elmo and Cookie Monster

I totally lifted these cards from Dawn Griffen!! I LOVE these!
I used my nestabilities to cut all the pieces.

I was reminded today why I scrap...

I told you in the last post that I have been making many more cards then I have been making LO's. I said I was going to make a LO before I make anymore cards... well, I didn't! My main computer has crashed so I can't access my photos or photoshop so I went back to cards.

Today my sweet little Levi is sick and running a high fever. As I was snuggling him, I told him how cute he is. He asked me "Momma, was a cute when I was a baby?" I was able to pull out my albums and show him a couple LO's from when he was a little guy! It was a FANTASTIC moment!

It was also a convicting moment for me! I don't have very many LO's in any of the kids albums. I do need to scrapbook more LO's for children! They LOVE to pull out all my albums and just look through them and read them!

Brian has started working 2pm-midnight so my evenings are free after the kids go to bed. After thier bedtime is only time of the day I watch TV, just to veg before bed. I need to be disciplined to turn off the TV and go to my scrapbook room and be productive, I know that capturing my boys childhoods in albums has much more value then anything I can watch on TV.

Cards

I realized this week that I should be calling myself a "Carder" rather then a "Scrapper". I make a million times more cards then I do LO's. I AM going to finish a LO I started before I make another card! Really, I AM!!

I made this card last night and I am SO pleased with the way it turned out. Now, I just need someone to have a little girl! My sister is due in September so I guess she will get it.

My friend loaned me her butterfly punch and I am having so much fun with it.

Keeping Busy

I have been keeping busy this last week cutting all kinds of cute critters from our new Create a Critter Cartridge!! I think we have cut at least of of them and they are so cute! Everyday each of the kids beg for a new critter.

I cut the little bee and was not sure what to do with it. I almost added it to our LARGE stack of critters but then decided to make a card with her.

My Michael's Haul

I have a friend who is constantly telling me about the great deals she gets at Michael's. I NEVER find them!
Well today was a different story! I got each of these items on clearence for $.99 OR LESS!! ROCK ON!! I am getting ready to start my sisters's pregnancy album so I scored with all the girlie stuff!

I couldn't resist any longer!!

Cricut released this cartridge a couple months ago and my kids have been begging for it!! I liked the cart right away. BUT when I saw Peachy Keens Critter Face stamps AND My Pink Stampers Phrase stamps I really fell in love with the Cart!

I couldn't resist any longer and I finally buckled and ordered the cart last Thursday.

On Friday I ordered the Peachy Keen stamps and they arrived today!! They are so adorable!

And this Punny-licious set go perfectly! But I have not ordered them yet...
I see some cute critter in my scrappy future!!

I FOUND IT!!!

Every year I make Calendars for the Grandparent's Christmas gift. I tend to stress out about it, as I search for the perfect collection to use! Well, I found it... and it is only MAY!! I think this collection is perfect for my crew! Now I just have to wait until it is available in stores!!

This collection is from Bo Bunny! The more of their products I use, the more I LOVE them!
I guess you will only get a sneak peak of the collection since I can't get the whole picture to show!

National Scrapbook Day Challenges

I had so much fun this past month doing challenges at the Doodle, I decided to participate in My Pink Stampers Weekend Challenge. Outside the box Challenge... I used drywall mesh as a Mask on the vellum.

Least liked Cartridge... teardrop, I had to have it but never use it. I didn't realize it had a pretty butterfly. I guess I will have to use it more.

Just the Two of Us

Here is a LO I did with the photos from our 16th Anniversary!

I had done the first side weeks ago and loved how it turned out. As for the second side, I had the 2's cut but that was it. Libby posted a "All About Me" challenge at Scrapbook Doodle and I knew right away what I would make. My journaling is about my feelings about my husband and how I want to grow old with him. I had just had a horrible dream about what every military wife dreads, the knock on the door from a Chaplain. I want my husband to know exactly how I feel! I LOVE him!
