Butterfly Beauties

I bought a set of stamps that have butterflies and dragonflies on them. I wasn't sure what to do with them but when Gage came in, he made some suggestions and this is what we came up with. I am pretty impressed with my ultra creative 10 year old! He picked out all the Stickles and Smooch and told me where to paint or Stickle each section. I simply adore both of them.

Glimmer Mist Tip

I don't know about you, but I store my Glimmer Mist in a box. I get frustrated when I am on the hunt for "THE ONE" color and I pick up every bottle in my search! I tried to put them in color order but that didn't last long when my kiddos are helping me scrap.

My solution... I bought a pack of adhesive dots from the home office section. I cut out individual squares and sprayed them with GM and then let them dry. I then attached to the top of each bottle. Now I can just glance in the box and find exactly which color I am looking for. It works great for me and I wanted to share!

Cards for Kids...

A few months ago I came across Jennifer McGuire's "Cards for Kate" drive! Kate, age 5, was diagnosed with a very rare Brain tumor. Jennifer hosted the drive and collected tons of cards for Kate and her family. The card drive was so successful that Jennifer has continued it adding new kids every so often. Today two were added.
My boys and I have made a 10 cards for the kids and they love being able to bless the boys and girls through their own creations.

If you are interested in this awesome ministry check out the following link...

As for sweet Kate, she had brain surgery followed by Chemo. The tumor still remained so Kate is in "Transplant" right now. From what I understand this means that she had an entire Years worth a chemo in a matter of 5 days. This can be very destructive to her little body so they "transplanted" her own bone marrow yesterday in hopes to rescue her bone marrow. We continue to pray for Kate and her family through this difficult time. After she recovers from this, she will have to go through radiation and possibly a second brain surgery! She could sure use a card to encourage her!

Here is a picture of Kate getting her "Liquid Gold" this week. Isn't she precious??

I love a Good Challenge

I used to hate Challenges! I feared the thought of failure so I wouldn't even try.

Over the last couple years I started taking on some of the Scrapbook Challenges at the Doodle. Every January the Doodle hosts a month long "Use your stash" challenge. I usually make a goal to finish half of them!

Well this year I was able to complete ALL 24 challenges that were posted in January! I was quite proud of myself! Having my own scrapbook room sure makes a difference! I can pop in even if I only have 15 minutes! LOVE it!

Now I LOVE a good Challenge!

Here are a couple of my favorites...

FINALLY!!!!

Finally, I can say my Christmas Calendars are FINISHED!!! I am so relieved that they are done! I do feel bad that they are really late but they are done! I had two boxes saved to mail them, but I can't find them! I went to Walmart today and I was going to pick up two boxes and I TOTALLY forgot!! So, it is now on my "to do list" for tomorrow!

Now I can move onto the "Use Your Stash" challenges at Scrapbook Doodle! Jodi is posting a new Challenge everyday and you can only use scraps or things that are all ready open! NO new stuff! Last year I made a TON of cards and had so much fun!

Happy Scrappin!!

Sneak Peak...

Well, we are a lot further along then what is shown in this picture but here is a little sneak peak into my scrappy space.

At first I wasn't too sure about how bright the pink is, but it is sure growing on me! I think once I get an OTT light it will be better!
Happy Scrappin!
